The place to eat when you stay in the park. After our walk, we went in and waited about 10 minutes for our table. Nothing special about the decor, since we know where we are. A limited menu, we ordered an IPA and a German Blonde, they satisfied our thirst. My wife liked her Ruben and I got the BBQ Brisket w tots. A decent meal and friendly & efficient service from McKinzie. The best part is that our table is right by the window with the view of Lake Itasca and the hummingbird feeders.

We had the buffet and it had a lot of unique Minnesotan flavors, especially leaning into wild rice recipes. That was a fun experience. Also, the strawberry rhubard pie was very good.

We ate here several years ago while camping. I still remember it because it was so so good. We had wild rice hotdish and blueberry shakes, one of the best meals we've ever had. Don't know why but we havent been back since then so we are long over due.

My family has been going to Itasca State Park and Douglas Lodge Restaurant annually for 40+ years. The restaurant is a definite stop while visiting the beautiful park. Everyone needs to at least try a cup of the Wild Rice Soup and make it a priority to get a Blueberry Malt. The malt is shareable with a couple people and it never disappoints. The historic restaurant and lodge is perfectly situated in the woods right next to Lake Itasca.

Probably the best BLT sandwich I've ever had. The walleye bites were very good also. Great service and nice atmosphere.

We loved the lunch. It tasted amazing and would definitely recommend the wild rice soup. We tried the new breakfast buffet and it's not half bad but still needs some improvements. The view is super pretty and there are a ton of hummingbirds.
